Liz Marion

Owner & Principal

Leadership Communication Expert 📚 | Facilitator 🎤 | Program & Community Builder 💡 | Military Spouse 🇺🇸

Hi, I’m Liz Marion, the owner and principal of Liby Works. As a military spouse, my professional career has taken me from entertainment and live event production to startups and nonprofits—and in every chapter, one truth has remained constant: communication is what makes or breaks success.

Over the last 12+ years, I’ve designed and executed national, regional, and local nonprofit programs for artists, creative entrepreneurs, and small business owners—reaching dozens to hundreds of participants at a time. My specialty is building sustainable, repeatable programs that staff and volunteers can pick up and run with confidence, without starting from scratch each season.

I also coach executives and co-founders to sharpen their message, elevate their leadership presence, and communicate with clarity—whether they’re pitching investors, leading teams, or representing their organizations in the media.

I hold an MS in Organizational Leadership from Johns Hopkins University, with a concentration in B2G leadership communication, and currently serve as Fellowship Director at Marque Ventures as well as an Entrepreneur in Residence of National Security at UC San Diego.

Through Liby Works, I equip leaders and organizations with the strategies, tools, and confidence they need to reduce friction, improve performance, and create happier, more effective workplaces.

I am passionate about communication, national security, veteran and military spouse initiatives, and the outdoors.

Fun fact: “Liby” was my childhood nickname.
