Hello Communicators,
As we work through Q4, it’s a great time to reflect on how communication and delegation have shaped trust in your team this year. Clear delegation isn’t just about assigning tasks—it’s about building trust, empowering your team, and driving collaboration.
Think about the times delegation worked well—was it because expectations were clear and information flowed easily? Or did miscommunication create challenges?
Looking forward to 2025, we have a tremendous opportunity to build stronger teams by fostering a culture of trust through better delegation and communication. When we create an environment where information flows freely and everyone has access to the right tools and insights, people feel connected to the organization’s mission. They feel empowered to make decisions, innovate, and collaborate across teams. This is the foundation for not only a productive workforce but one that is highly motivated.
As you plan for the year ahead, consider how you can foster this in your organization. How can you delegate more effectively, ensuring that your team has what they need to succeed? How can you communicate in a way that not only informs but inspires collaboration? These are the questions that will drive your strategic planning for 2025.

Spooky Stat for October
46 Days
the number of days per year an average high-earning full-time employee loses dealing with ineffective communication

More Than That
Imagine what we could accomplish if we got even half of that time back. This stat hits hard because it’s not just about lost productivity—it’s about missed opportunities, delayed projects, frustrated teams and lost profits!
As you plan strategically for 2025, think about your goals, objectives, and resources—from a communication perspective. We spend so much time setting targets, but how often do we focus on how our teams will communicate to make those goals a reality?
Clear Role Alignment: Make sure each employee knows how their role fits into the bigger strategic plan. When people understand their impact, they can act with more purpose and urgency.
Access to Leaders and Resources: Make sure employees have direct access to the leaders, tools, and information that allow them to do their best work. Open lines of communication with leadership can improve problem-solving and encourage quicker decision-making. Try a Town Hall or monthly office hours for Q1 2025.
Delegation: Make delegation crystal clear. When handing off tasks, ensure expectations are understood, timelines are set, and any obstacles are anticipated ahead of time.
Collaborate with Purpose: Not every meeting is a good meeting. Before gathering your team, ask: What’s the purpose? Who really needs to be involved?
Ask yourself: How can we make sure every employee knows exactly how they’ll contribute to the 2025 plan? How can we set them up to hit the ground running on January 2?
Strategic planning for 2025 should include a communication roadmap that connects everyone to the bigger picture and gives them the tools to succeed from day one.
